Here are some Christmas Dinner Cooking Tips for the family that is thinking of preparing a wonderful Christmas dinner femara for ovulation induction .

Christmas is a busy time of year. Families barely have time to cook dishes to bring for this or that function. That is why there are several great dishes that can be quickly purchased and prepared for the these occasions and only a few people will be the wiser. Christmas is all about being with friends and family, and you would certainly want to please them with great dishes, and possible lack of talent in the kitchen, time on hand, or a shortage of attention span should not get in the way of preparing great dishes for your Christmas needs.

If are well prepared, you might have been preparing and freezing large casserole favorites a month or some weeks ago. You could freeze all your family’s faves and have great dishes ready for functions and also for those nights when you are too busy to be bothered with such as preparing a home cooked meal but not having enough time to do so.  Preparing casseroles and similar dishes that go well with the holiday theme throughout the year would be great.

But if you don’t even have time to take care of such preparations,  there is another method that might be easier but is a little more costly. This is the supreme cheater method for Christmas dishes. There are lots of businesses that allow you to quickly put together or assemble meals then bring them home to freeze and bake. It’s not quite home made though but it tastes as good and might convince people at parties you attend that you are an excellent cook. Some cities have many of these meal assembly stores and you need to constantly check with the menu if you are a finicky eater because they often rotate the popular dishes so that they aren’t available all the time. Since the food is frozen you can plan your sessions for those times when they are offer the dishes you are interested in creating.

A variation on the scheme above is to purchase prepared meals in the freezer section of your local supermarket. There are a few surprisingly good meals you can get, especially if you are considering macaroni and cheese or lasagna for your offering. These are meals that you can bring home and heat in the oven. They often come in sold in foil pans, which are excellent for potlucks and pitch ins but not much at looking good though. They are also budget friendly which I am certain many of you will agree, is a good thing.

So this Christmas, there’s no need for extreme cooking talent in order to make a Christmas dinner that is delicious, easy to make, and quick to make. Careful planning ahead of time is often key to a successful Christmas season. Since most of us begin our Christmas shopping early there is no harm in also beginning our Christmas cooking a little early too.

Just a few days ago, people in the Philippines commemorated the anniversary of the declaration of Martial Law in the Philippines by then President Ferdinand E. Marcos.

I will not elaborate further on martial law, or about Marcos and how he came to his end. There are a wealth of resources about this.

As we find ourselves 21 years down the road after we have regained our so called freedoms we realize that nothing has really changed for the better and we find that the same old people are still in power, a lot of government officials still usurp power to enrich themselves, and the Filipino is still where he was .. maybe even worse.

Have we all put to waste the sacrifice of the victims of persecution, the victims of salvaging… those who quietly disappeared… have those who have been brave enough to speak out all died in vain?

I am reminded how one day in 1983… when I was barely out of childhood yet too young to be mature enough to understand issues of the world, that one Sunday afternoon when I sat on the living room watching news blare away, reporting about some sort of assassination of some person who just got back from abroad. He must have been quite a prominent I figured, given the kind of publicity this was getting. I had never heard that man’s name ever, up until that Sunday afternoon.

For the very young who were never around during this time, and were never around during the original EDSA revolution.. they don’t have this personal appreciation of what happened, and sometimes don’t quite understand what it means, just reading about it from history books.

This is a remarkable interview… it gives me goosebumps. Here is the last TV interview of that man who was shot Aug. 21, at the back of the head while in “supposed heavy guard by escorting policemen”, he was shot before his feet even touched Philippine soil, the country he made sure to come back to, despite threats, warnings and pleas by people asking him not to return because his life was in danger.

Remembering Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, remembering what started the end for a dictator, remembering what a waste for all that to happen, and we are no further no better no more developed than we were back then.

My back is killing me. That’s what you get for sitting in front of the PC at about 14-16 hours a day… I was thinking some pilates back exercises would help… but wait a sec… I know what you’re thinking.. my social life is non existent… I’m now a certified computer geek! Wrong.. I do have a little “social” interaction going on other than virtual interaction. I must saying being online for long hours does get you a little introverted. I actually can’t believe that I spend that much time on my computer. My broadband internet connection is pretty fast causing me to ignore time whenever I sit front of my PC.

Anyways, fact is I haven’t been getting much exercise anyway and I haven’t been out on any trip recently… and haven’t done anything new lately… yeah been total loser lately.

So I thought maybe getting into Pilates would be something worth exploring, ok maybe not really serious into but starting with pilates back exercises because they are killing me.

I wouldn’t have a problem, I just met a guy who teaches Pilates… Cool!

But what is Pilates? Ok, time to dig up some facts.

What is Pilates?

Pilates has actually been around for a long time now, but it was only ’til recently that a lot of people have started getting an interest in it and getting into it.

“It is a low-impact form of exercise that focuses on spinal range of motion, abdominal and back strengthening, flexibility, and breathing patterns. For a variety of reasons Pilates has become an exercise program recommended by many healthcare professionals for those with certain spine conditions, as well as for the prevention and wellness benefits it offers.” Source for that is http://www.spineuniverse.com/displayarticle.php/article2700.html.

Pilates is a total body exercise program that focuses on 6 basic principles: concentration, control, centering, fluidity, precision, and breathing. Now most people think that they can exercise and build up a sweat with a lot of physical exertion… yo have got to try pilates… taking things slower is actually much more difficult.

Pilates exercises revolve around the spine and flexibility in what they call all lpanes of motion… and pilates practitioners should pay close attention to their own postural or range of motion limitations so they can get the most out of each exercise.

Looks like I found something for my back, the question is how do I actually get started.. well I could talk to KT about it since she is so into it… or maybe talk to Arnel who is a pilates instructor who’s back from his stint in Singapore… or maybe enroll for some programs in pilates cebu style! Hehehehe… pilates cebu style? Whatever that means, I just made that up. would that mean doing pilates exercises just sitting comfortably?

Anyways, maybe it will work for my back… but how to get started really is the big question.
