Kinoki Foot Pads are a new herbal remedy to cleanse and detoxify the body. There are several reasons why Kinoki Foot Pads are popular, and based on what I gather, Kinoki Foot Pads are 100% natural and herbal; are convenient to use, and effective. However Kinoki Foot Pads have not been without controversy as you will also learn in this article.

Why Detoxify?
Herbalists believe that several modern day illnesses, diseases and chronic health conditions are caused by several years of dietary neglect. Indulging in junk food that has preservatives and chemicals, combined with a lack of proper vitamins and minerals, cause toxin build up in the body. This in turn will affect the body’s immune system and cleansing capabilities.

When the body’s normal waste removal systems become clogged or are unable to function properly, toxins leak back into the blood stream, and can cause all kinds of problems for the internal organs. This inevitably results in a variety of health problems and conditions; symptoms will reveal the body’s desperate attempts to clean out the toxins and wastes that are polluting it. If the body is unable to eliminate toxins the normal way, which is through the colon, one of the next options is eliminating the toxins through the skin. Now, that won’t look pretty at all.

One quick and easy way of detoxifying the body is through the use of Kinoke Foot Pads.

Kinoki Foot Pads – 100% Herbal
Kinoki foot pads are formulated in Japan using all-natural tree extracts and powerful negative ions. The pads act like a toxin magnet and draws all the toxins and metabolic waste in your body, to the pads.

Kinoki Foot Pads – Convenient And Easy To Use
It is easy to use Kinoki, just place ONE PAD on the SOLE of your FOOT before going to bed. That’s all there is to it.

Kinoki Foot Pads – Effective
In the morning when you wake, check out your pads. You will find that the pad has absorbed toxins accumulated in your body while you slept. The white pad would now appear in a shade of gray to black.

All you have to do is use a fresh pad each night, until the color on the pad becomes lighter and lighter when removed in the morning.

Although there are many ways to detoxify the body, but foot pads are probably the easiest, simplest and most convenient way to rid your body of heavy metals, metabolic wastes, toxins, microscopic parasites, mucous, and much more.

Kinoki Foot Pads Controversy
There have been several people coming out complaining about Kinoki saying that first, many screaming Kenoki is a scam and that it simply does not work. I have come across several articles, blogs and comments by people saying it does not help however many of these were unable to say if they actually tried it or not. There were also many who said that they did try it and it worked for them.

Another problem that has been mentioned is their billing system which has some problems such as some people getting billed again, the following month after their order. Some people are also having a hard time contacting Kinoki through the number indicated on their website www.buykinoki.com.

So how do we filter what’s fact and what’s now? With all the information online, it really is difficult figuring out which is the truth and which is not. But if there is anything that I believe they should provide buyers, it’s a money back guarantee, if the product is as good and effective as its manufacturers say it is, then I am sure a money back guarantee will show how much trust they have in the product. Of course, subject to certain considerations or policies.

Body detox is increasing in popularity and Kinoki Foot Pads are just one of many other toxin removing foot pads available in the market, and one method out of several, to remove body toxins. So if this does not work for your, maybe something else will.

The Bhutto Assassination has made worse an already tense situation in Pakistan, in fact tense could be too docile a word to use. Maybe the more appropriate adjective to best describe the situation in Pakistan is “volatile”.

The assassination of the Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, can easily fan the flames of civil war in Pakistan, or even something worse than that, since the implications are international in scope.

Many are pointing the finger at Pres. Musharraf as the person responsible, however one cannot be certain as Bhutto had other enemies such as Islamic extremists who had earlier vowed to destroy “the enemy”. In fact, there are some reports coming out that Al Qaeda has taken responsibility for the attack. If anything Pres. Musharraf could be guilty of, it can be complacency about security for the former PM.

Check out this video, to see what COULD happen next.

The headline reads “Benazir Bhutto Assassination“.

Former Pakistani leader Benazir Bhutto, the first ever woman Prime Minister of an Islamic nation, was assassinated in a bomb attack at an election rally in the city of Rawalpindi. She was 54.

Harvard and Oxford-educated Bhutto was daughter of ex President and ex PM Zulfikar Ali Bhutto who was overthrown by General Mohammad Zia ul-Haq in a 1977 military coup, and was later hanged in 1979 after being convicted of having authorized the murder of an opponent. Both her brothers were also killed in political related killings.

Another story about how there should be stricter gun control laws.

A news story headline reads, Football Referee Pulls Out Gun, Fires!

But this is not just about some private individual who draws a gun and fires it in the air, this is about an apparently off duty police officer in Malaysia refereeing for a football game, that turns rowdy.

The Malaysian referee took out his gun, fired warning shots in the air after a local soccer match turned unruly following the suspension of a player. A call that fans and players were unhappy about.

The referee, who was also a policeman, ran to his patrol car to get his gun after players mobbed him for showing the red-card to one of them.

The news story further reports that the policeman was taken into custody for suspected misuse of firearms.

In the Philippines just a few months ago, we heard of an off duty and drunk Police Superintendent who figures in a road mis-hap with TV news crew; an argument ensues which leads to the cop outnumbered and beaten, with the whole thing on tape. By the way, the news crew did the beating. Maybe these guys have been watching too much reality TV. The cop, rushed to find his gun in his vehicle, luckily his smart thinking companion hid it from him. Who knows what could have happened.

There are so many issues regarding gun control, some people calling for stricter laws and penalties, and I am certainly for such regulations.

However, guns don’t kill people, people with guns do; regardless of how many laws there are or how extreme the penalties, if there are people who are otherwise unfit to own or possess a gun whether they be private citizens or agents of the law… there will always be gun related incidents.

Gun control is non existent if the gun owner hardly exercises any control, or is too ignorant or arrogant to know what situations call for a gun.

Filed under: How To Cure Tinnitus

Are you looking for information that will tell you How To Cure Tinnitus?

We in the Philippines are big on fireworks on Christmas and New Years, welcoming the celebration with loud bangs and stuff. It is something we got from the Chinese. Anyways, when all the revelry and the noise dies down and silence takes over, you notice this shrill ringing in your ears. Sometimes it goes away, but if it doesn’t then you are suffering from tinnitus.

Tinnitus is defined as the perception of sound in the human ear, but with the absence of a corresponding external sound. You hear it but there is no source outside of the hear that is apparently causing it. So you can say that the sound is coming from within your ear.

There are many causes for tinnitus and I hate to be bearer of bad news for those looking how to cure tinnitus, but it is something that cannot be remedied. I use the word, remedy because to say cure implies that tinnitus is a disease, which it isn’t. It is a condition, and the best remedy for it is to try to get people to get used to it and not notice it. Because that is what is annoying, you can hear all the time and it may sometimes get in the way of you hearing external sounds.

My tinnitus is caused by prolonged exposure to loud sounds. No, it was not caused by all the fireworks over the countless Christmases and New Years that I almost went deaf with all the explosions going on.

Here are the reasons for my tinnitus:
- listening to music using earphones, at high volumes
- listening to loud music in general
- being exposed to live loud music, as a hobby I play guitars for a band and have been for 20 years now
- was exposed to constant loud music for about 3 years during which time I did marketing for a club

What I have is basically subjective tinnitus. Knowing all these causes, my advise is to take measures to protect your hearing because when it goes it goes, and if you want to know how to cure tinnitus you can check out this book that has been a big help in overcoming the annoying sound that I hear 24/7.

Did you know that Christmas is a celebrated tradition that has its roots in three festivals and one of which is the Winter Solstice Celebration?

Many of the Christian countries, celebrate Christmas. It is the commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ, the central figure behind Christianity. But wait, there is a lot more that you may not know.

Christmas By Decree
The first Christian Roman emperor, Constantine I chose the date to celebrate Christmas, choosing December 25th. Historians cite many reasons for this, one being this same day as the birth of the Persian god of light, Mithras; another reason was because of a scheduling conflict, as December 17th was a pagan holiday where Saturn was worshiped. If you want to know more about Constantine you will find that he was once a non Christian who converted, and it is during his time that the modern bible was assembled we know it, and Christian beliefs and canons established. This was the result of the First Council of Nicaea.

Going back to Christmas, and three festivals; two of these go way before the birth of Christ. These three festivals, and many of the traditions and customs pertinent with each, have become entwined and evolved into what seems to be one big celebration.

Saturnalia
Saturnalia is an old Roman festival named after the Roman god Saturn; a festival marked by gift giving, a tradition that has endured to this very day.

Winter Solstice
The other is the Winter Solstice celebration, that came from the Nordic peoples.

The winter solstice occurs when the Sun’s position in the sky is at its greatest angular distance on the other side of the equatorial plane as the observer. Depending on the shift of the calendar, the event of the Winter solstice occurs sometime between December 20 and 23 each year in the Northern hemisphere, and between June 20 and 23 in the Southern Hemisphere, and the winter solstice occurs during either the shortest day or the longest night of the year (not to be confused with the darkest day or nights). Though the Winter Solstice lasts an instant, the term is also used to refer to the full 24-hour period.

Worldwide, interpretation of the event has varied from culture to culture, but most cultures have held a recognition of rebirth, involving holidays, festivals, gatherings, rituals or other celebrations around that time. The winter solstice celebration was also prevalent in Britain, where it became part of Anglo Saxon lore. We still preserve the traditions up to this day, traditions and customs such as the Christmas trees, and holly? Those things actually have nothing to do with the birth of Christ.

Ancient Britons were fascinated by the ability of evergreens to retain its color, even when all other leaves had turned to red and brown, and died before the coming of the winter snow. Green symbolized winter’s passing and the much-awaited onset of spring. So, when we place a Christmas tree in our homes, we are preserving an age-old tradition dating back to European ancestors.

In fact, Santa Claus was supposedly clad in green, and not red. He is thought to have been a personification of Odin, chief of the gods in Norse mythology. This tradition blended almost seamlessly with the ‘new’ image of Santa, who is based upon a real person. Interestingly, Santa only became the red and white, jolly figure we know today because of a commercial promotion by Coca Cola in the thirties, who made Santa red forever, to match their own company’s established color. I wrote a blog about that sometime ago, called Santa Season.

So, whether Christian or not, everyone actually has a reason to celebrate at this time in December.

Give presents, send greeting cards and light up the tree.. for these are traditions that have been handed down to us and have been mixed with the Christian revelry over Christ’s birth… that is called Christmas.

Today is the 24th of December and still people are rushing to the stores to get Christmas gifts and if you have not done so yourself, it is never too late. But if confused, here are my suggestions, these are my Top 5 Christmas Gift Ideas.

Getting someone a Christmas gift may seem easy, but there are thousands of different types of gifts you could buy that it can get confusing, which to get for whom. What makes it more difficult is not knowing if the person would actually like your Christmas gift, unless you went out and asked them what they wanted. You can surely ask your kids if you were getting Christmas gifts for them, and they will surely tell you, but what about your mother, sister, brother grandpa or friends?

This in mind, there are some items in the marketplace that are very popular and would do well with anybody if they received one of them. These Christmas Gift Ideas are not young kids’ toys, but are items that would surely be enjoyed by almost everyone, so you are going to be safe if you choose one of these items for someone on your list.

Ipod or MP3 Player
Everybody loves music, yes? Or even if a person does not particularly like music, there are a couple of songs that are favorites of theirs and would like to hear when they want to. The first item is an Ipod, but if you do not have the money for it, an MP3 player. The Ipod has been on the forefront of technology for about two years and has the advantage of being portable and desirable. The Ipod has always sold well, especially during the holidays. It’s a unit that is extremely functional yet minimal and sleek in design. It comes with the capacity to hold thousands of songs or video and can even play DVD movies after a conversion process.

Books
The second item would be books. Books are timeless and good stories always capture the interest of those who read them. Reading a good book is a favorite pastime to many, even in today’s technological society where everyone is glued to the computer or to the TV. Excellent book gift choices might be in the self-help area or possibly in the inspirational category.

Digital Camera
The third Christmas gift idea is a digital camera. Almost everyone wants to capture precious moments and digital cameras make it so easy. Film is no longer needed and high quality digital images can be obtained with a digital camera capable of taking very nice images. All of the pictures you take can be saved to your computer or on a CD ROM. You can also make pictorial slides shows with background music and the list goes on. Many of the current digital camera models even allow you to take video, but you might need a larger memory card for that since video images take up more memory card space.

Mobile Phone
The fourth item is a mobile phone. Cellular phones are just about everywhere now and almost everyone has one. More often than not, they are not expensive to purchase, even for the brand new ones that come out with all the latest features. With a mobile phone, of course, the gift idea of being able to keep in touch with some easily goes a long way. If all your friends have a phone in their pocket, it is much easier to keep in touch.

Clothes
The last item is clothes. Whether it is a coat, shoes, socks, pants or dresses, clothes are always in need. Everyone loves looking good and having new clothes helps one attain the look they desire for themselves. Sometimes clothes are given as gifts for a need, other times because a cool looking item was found and you just had to have it for someone. Whatever the case, clothes will always be a popular gift.

Choosing a gift for a special person is not easy. You can dwell on what to get that special someone for days without making a decision. So if you are really stuck, consider one of the items on this list. No matter which one you choose, you cannot go wrong.

Have you run out of Christmas Dinner Menu Ideas?

With barely a few days to go before Christmas, you should by now have some Christmas Dinner Menu Ideas, but if you haven’t well.. lets see what I can suggest. Let’s go international shall we and check out Christmas Dinner Menu Ideas from other places.

Italian Christmas Dinner Idea
There are so many traditions around the world and regrettably far too few families have the opportunity to experience some of the rich traditions and delicious food that mark the Christmas holidays.

In certain parts of Italy, which is predominantly Catholic, people abstain from red meat on Christmas Eve, so they have this tradition which puts fish as the staple for the evening meal. This is commonly referred to as a 7 fishes dinner and is most enjoyable for those who love seafood. It’s surely a new and refreshing dinner idea for most people, and if you are looking for something a little different from the ordinary, go fish for Christmas dinner. Maybe you are tired from all that turkey and ham, and meat… go Italian and prepare a seafood feast.

German Christmas Dinner Idea
Many Germans gather for Christmas Dinner on Christmas Eve rather than Christmas Day. A traditional German Christmas dinner consists of dishes such as stuffed Christmas Goose, Potato Dumplings, Red Cabbage, and Baked Apples for dessert. But you don’t have to stick to this traditional menu, there are plenty of great German dishes that you can enjoy.

British Christmas Dinner Idea
If you are looking to savor some UK flavor for your Christmas Dinner, you might find the food brings a flavor that is a little closer to home. Popular Christmas dinner favorites in the UK include dishes such as roasted turkey, roasted potatoes, brussel sprouts, dressing, and pudding pie. One staple that is so much a part of tradition in the UK are Christmas crackers, which hold little gifts and goodies inside them.

Mexican Christmas Dinner Idea
Another interesting choice for your Christmas table may be to include your favorite Mexican dishes for dinner. A little chili or spicy food might be a warming meal to eat on a cold winter’s day.

Christmas Dinner Ideas From Other Countries
The same may be said of most cuisines, even those from cultures that do not traditionally celebrate Christmas. Thai, Indian, Chinese foods make wonderful themes for a Christmas table if you are knowledgeable about the cuisine and willing to undertake the tasks of preparation as part of your Christmas dinner plans. The trick is really in finding dishes that are relatively simple to prepare, difficult to mess up, and can easily be skipped in the event that something does go wrong. There are tons of distractions on Christmas in most households and you do not want Christmas dinner ruined because one dish is proving difficult or impossible or (heaven forbid) gets burned, dropped on the floor, or eaten by the dog.

This post is a reprint of an old post about Santa Claus and Christmas, I wrote 3 or 4 years ago on my long defunct Friendster Blog. Friendster is where I started blogging. Lucky for me, there is also this other place on cyberspace which keeps my old work, acting as a library for me to pick out old writings. I keep that private though.

So here is the post I am talking about. This has been edited a bit.

———

If you have been spending weekends just like I have, and was very recently acquainted to monkeys mating on Discovery or to the guy who broke the Guinness book record for breaking open the most number of melons in a minute by bashing them with this head (excitingly eventful weekend don’t you think), then I am almost certain you spent most of the time in front of the tube.. and at one time or another surfed past those movie channels.. yes?

For some months now and almost every weekend, there is a Santa story showing on TV. If not a Santa story, its about Santa’s known collaborators, elves. Either way they all had something to do with Christmas.

I guess it is so very well timed, and though I haven’t been in a department store recently, I’m guessing the carols are now playing all day long, spreading holiday cheer to the shoppers, reminding us that the time for giving approaches… so “buy, buy, buy….”

Christmas approaches and they say Santa is now preparing his sleigh…

… there are so many stories about Santa, Christmas, the season, and much like many other feel good movies, you just can’t help and think that these are simply to entertain, and partly for purposes of capitalistic marketing strategy to get us to spend more .

But what and who really is the man in the red suit? Who is Santa Claus?

You will find out later if you read on, however if you ask about the things he does and what he can do, all the things you know of Santa as you have read, heard in stories or seen depicted in movies or TV, they are all like any legend that are told, re-told and with each telling, getting more interesting with more twists and turns.

Santa Claus is an evolutionary creation, that has developed over time.. here is a timeline.

- Before the 1800s, Santa was portrayed as an elf-like figure with one reindeer

- In 1822 a popular poem came out in New York, which portrayed him as the gift giver, and with eight reindeers each with its own unique name, flying through the trees with his sleigh and dropping into the living room through the chimney

- Around 1866 the North Pole was presented as Santa’s home base…

side note: the story of Santa Claus is one that has evolved thru time as evidenced through printed and published work of text and graphics, with the legend getting better and more elaborate, now here’s where the story is best known as a capitalistic cash cow, a success story that is used up until today

- At the beginning of the 1930s, a struggling soda company was looking for ways to increase sales of their product during winter, then a slow time of year for the soft drink market. They turned to a talented commercial illustrator who created a series of memorable drawings that associated the figure of a larger than life, red-and-white garbed Santa Claus with “Coca-Cola.” Coke’s annual advertisements featuring the drawings of Santas holding bottles of Coca-Cola, drinking Coca-Cola, receiving Coca-Cola as gifts, and especially enjoying Coca-Cola — became a staple Christmastime feature which helped spur Coca-Cola sales throughout the winter, and produced the bonus effect of appealing quite strongly to children, an important segment of the soft drink market.

Coca-Cola had a great deal to do with establishing Santa Claus as Christmas figure in America at a time when the holiday was still making the transition from a religious observance to a largely secular and highly “commercial” celebration. In an era before color television (or commercial television of any kind), color films, and the widespread use of color in newspapers, it was Coca-Cola’s magazine advertisements, billboards, and point-of-sale store displays that exposed nearly everyone in America to the modern Santa Claus image. Coca-Cola certainly helped make Santa Claus one of the most popular men in America, but they didn’t invent him. The modern image of Santa, his appearance and get-up evolved from around the 19th century.

So what am i saying? Poor old Santa, the legend of the jolly ol feller used and abused for capitalistic gain?

Why and how?

Each Christmas, we panic. We feel like we never have enough money. I know it happens to me, I panic because I dont have enough money to buy enough Christmas presents for everyone I need to buy Christmas presents for.

We forget the very essence of Christmas and what it stands for… we know its a time of giving, but we overlook the fact that we should give what we can… with our heart in it, and that the value of the gift is not measured by its price tag…but the sincerity and meaning in giving.

So, who is Santa Clause?

He may be many things for many people, and he may just be the guy on the Coke soda can that still comes out every christmas season, even until today.

For me, Santa Claus is neither person, saint nor living being… Santa Clause is the personification of all that is good in us, which sadly only seems to manifest and become more evident in December.

We people, create figures that are outward manifestations of that goodness in us; we create idols or icons that manifest traits and qualities of the ideal kind of people we aspire or need to be; these projected figures or beings become iconic representations who in turn remind us of who we ought to be.

I hope we are reminded, not just for a few days in December, but every day of the year.

UK Lily is the band I am playing guitar for now, actually have been for several months. It is an 80s cover band, and yes that means we do play 80s music, much of it in our repertoire but we do know some contemporary songs too.

For the record, there is more to the 80s than all the 80s crap you hear on the radio, and one more thing, “Build Me Up Buttercup” is not 80s music, yes there was a remake that came out in the 80s but it is much older.

But why 80s cover music?

Well, for one thing, its what is the easiest and quickest to play, since all the guys basically grew up on the 80s. We’d like to play songs we really like. We are not a jukebox that plays just about any song on the radio, instead we seek out songs that people hardly remember or hear getting any airplay. But once they do hear the song, the reaction is likely, “holy crap I haven’t head that song in ages”.

We get those kind of reactions all the time, and I see in the crowds faces like when we do “Change” by Tears for Fears from their first album, The Hurting. Come to think of it we have a lot of TFF covers from that album and the next one, Songs from the Big Chair.

When was the last time you heard Icicle Works played live, or did you ever, you know the song… Whisper To A Scream? What? Never? Well, we do that. Or how about a New Order song?

So, its basically 80s music that we like; and hopefully this is the same kind of music you liked to when you were growing up.

Here are some of the songs we do, I’ll list them according to artist, which is easier for me to remember.

Sting/Police
- every breath you take
- roxanne
- message in a bottle
- wrapped around my finger
- tea in the sahara
- englishman in new york

U2
- all i want is you
- angel of harlem
- with our without you
- elevation
- running to stand still
- where the streets have no name
- i still haven’t found what i’m looking for

Tears for Fears
- advice for the young at heart
- shout
- everybody wants to rule the world
- head over heels
- mad world
- change
- pale shelter

INXS
- need you tonight
- afterglow

Depeche Mode
- somebody
- personal jesus
- enjoy the silence

Duran Duran
- notorious
- save a prayer

SIMPLE MINDS
- don’t you forget about me
- alive and kicking

COLDPLAY
- the scientist
- yellow
- in my place

REM
- losing my religion
- the one i love

other songs:
- some like it hot – powerstation
- the way it is – bruce hornsby and the range
- life in a nothern town – dream academy
- what does it take? – honeymoon suite
- you really got me – the kinks
- waiting in vain – bob marley

- crash into me – dave matthews
- hard to handle – black crows
- whisper to a scream – the icicle works
- melt with you – modern english
- in between days – the cure

That’s as far as I can remember, there are certainly more songs.

If you would like to book the band for a gig or simply know more, send me an email at admin@roysencio.com.
