Bhutto Assassination Could Lead To Civil War In Pakistan
The Bhutto Assassination has made worse an already tense situation in Pakistan, in fact tense could be too docile a word to use. Maybe the more appropriate adjective to best describe the situation in Pakistan is “volatile”.
The assassination of the Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, can easily fan the flames of civil war in Pakistan, or even something worse than that, since the implications are international in scope.
Many are pointing the finger at Pres. Musharraf as the person responsible, however one cannot be certain as Bhutto had other enemies such as Islamic extremists who had earlier vowed to destroy “the enemy”. In fact, there are some reports coming out that Al Qaeda has taken responsibility for the attack. If anything Pres. Musharraf could be guilty of, it can be complacency about security for the former PM.
