The line screams out loud in bold letters, “the next generation weight loss solution”; that’s the first thing you see when you go to the “What is WeightView” page on the Weight View terror tract online download website.

So .. next generation weight loss solution? All you need to do to lose weight is keep viewing your picture? Is that all there is really? Is that all there is to Weight View

, or are we missing something important.

Is WeightView really a weight loss solution that it claims to be, or just a tool to help you lose weight, or a source of motivation for you to keep at it?

What Is Weight View?
Weight View is a website that provides people with a service; give them a picture of yourself and they will give back images of yourself, less 5, 10, 15 pounds, or more. Yes, it is still you, after successfully shedding those pounds.

It is easy to use, and well, free. You can print the resulting Weight View images or save them on your desktop. One catch is, you do need to register and provide them with a valid email address, so they can send you your images.. and probably make you part of their mailing list of marketing purposes.

The idea is, you have a visual image of yourself later on, how you look if you keep with whatever diet or weight loss program you are involved in. I hardly think you would simply lose weight by just staring at your picture; if you thought that’s how it worked you might have been watching too much The Secret.

Speaking of the Secret, there is a line that goes “thoughts turn into things”, and if I remember correctly in order to keep your thoughts focused on the things that you want you need certain aids to help you visualize what you want, like a visual tool. Perfect, that is what is said on their site as well, they provide a tangible, visual tool to strengthen your motivation and resolve! But wait, now that gets a little confusing.

Don’t the words “solution” and “tool”, though a bit synonymous, mean different things with “weight loss” added before them. Hence weight loss solution can mean the overall concept or strategy to lose weight, while weight loss tool can be something you use to assist you in losing weight?

But anyways, it is free so what the heck, give it a try.

Does Weight View Work?
Of course, I believe it does… as long as you just don’t sit around visualizing or dreaming of a leaner you; instead you gotta get up and do something about it. You never got a chicken meal by just staring at a chicken meal photo did you? Either you buy it, cook it, steal it.. heck one way or another you gotta do something to acquire it… no chicken’s gonna come knocking on your door to self-fry in your kitchen.

With all the stuff you see in these infomercials, we can’t help but be skeptical and have misgivings about these advertised products. You need to give yourself just a little bit of exercise or some form of body movement that will help you burn whatever excess of whatever it is you have been eating. If you are too lazy, try taking a 30 minute walk everyday for about a week, just to get you into it. Then the next week, start brisk walking, walk a little faster. The plan is, to eventually push yourself to later maybe jogging. The best indication that what you are doing is when you sweat. So if you are just walking around, and not feeling yourself sweating, and you don’t feel your pulse going a bit faster… that walk may not quality as walking.

Amen! That is probably a chorus in agreement in response to the question, does the hallelujah diet really heal the people who are on the hallelujah diet. But does it really?

To be honest I never really knew what this hallelujah diet was all about, in fact it was not until some weeks ago that I kept coming across it on the news and finally I clicked a link to find out what it was. So if you are wondering just what the hallelujah diet is all about, keep reading and I will tell you what I dug up about this diet.

The Hallelujah diet is a diet that is promoted by Rev. George Malkmus. Like many popular diets today, the hallelujah has had its share of controversy which has something to do with its curative claims. Doctors and professional nutritionists are challenging its curative claims, saying their is no scientific proof that supports the claim; on the other hand Rev. Malkmus maintains that it is indeed scientifically validated and can even prolong a persons life.

But what sort of food is allowed in a hallelujah diet? This diet puts emphasis on raw fruits and vegetables, and whole grains. Nothing really new actually, and is advice common to other diets. What really is cause for argument is its supposed ability to cure numerous diseases. As a supplement to this diet, you have to buy Malkmus’ own trademarked dietary supplements, the most common of these supplements are Barley Max, Carrot Max and Vitamin B12.

I’d say this is good marketing, especially with a clear cut target market for the hallelujah diet and his products, who mainly belong to Christian communities such as Baptists, Charismatics, and Pentecostals.

So does the hallelujah diet really work?

I can’t really say for sure, as I have not really tried it myself. The bottom line is, fruits and vegetables have always been recommended as part of a healthy diet, but knowing that fruits and vegetables are not enough, we have to complement this with other nutrient sources and keep intake within certain limits, within what doctors or professional nutritionists would recommend to be a healthy and balanced diet.
