Smart Bro Slow? Try Super Slow!

Yes this is another angst ridden post about my internet provider, the Slow Smart Bro , which has been very very very slow the past couple of months.

I write this post in an internet cafe where I had to download some files which I could not do at home, thanks to Smart Bro being so slow.

For the past couple of months, my internet speed has ranged from 24 to 46kbps… an hour ago before I left the house in frustration over this Smart Bro Slow fiasco, my connection was at 36kbps. This is what I pay P990 per month for, well… in defiance I have not paid my bill either.

Well, to this Smart Bro Slow Saga, let me point you to some other opinions about Smart Bro below.

If you’d perform an online search of Smart Bro reviews, you will see that one of its let-downs is its customer service department. Although I can’t totally say that I find Smart Bro customer service bad, I also can not say that it’s good enough. Read More.

I tried calling the smart support hot line *1888 but I could not connect, it says “Your number cannot be completed as dialed. Please check the number and dial again.” With that, I decided to go to their office to report the issue, but when I went their, even their support is not available, because they said, they were offline and could not check. 2. Smart Bro

    4. Smart, Globe and even PLDT may be forced to offer better internet broadband services if new competitors appear to offer better prices and services than them. I hope more competing internet companies will mushroom in the country.

    hayyy,,, grabi po talaga kainis masyado..
    napakabagal po ng internet connection namin dito sa bahay using smartbroadband..
    first month, aba, halos di pa ako nakaka-exhale nag aking in-inhale, bay jan na next page. a couple of months past, naku, masyado na po mabagal…
    di naman po alam kung ano gagawin.. magawan pa kaya to ng masusi at mas magandandang paraan??

    14. Well.. To be honest w/ you guys… I really don’t have a choice but to use smartbroKEN… If you call tech support… of course they will require to be in front of the computer to be diagnosed properly even if you already have troubleshot the computer. like wtf?! not all people are computer iliterate!! there are times that i don’t have internet connection at all. when i call them up, i immediately ask them 1st to check their base system before proceeding w/ any troubleshooting steps.. then they will put me on hold for more than 5 minutes & will end saying that “we’re sorry, we just found out that its a problem w/ our base system, please wait for approx 24 hours to regain your connection”. next thing is that their internet connection is way way way toooooooooo slow…………. it wont even let you play online games properly & w/ due to frustration, you’ll end up playing off line games or shutting down the computer & switching to ps2 games instead.. when you call tech support, they will let you do pingtest.net or speedtest.net & even do explaination how it works.. like duh?! i didn’t took electronic & communcations engineering just to be lectured w/ this kind of stuffs w/c are only basics…. when i mentioned that i’ve tried using a different computer, they started looking for alibies.. they say that it might be my firewall settings.. it could be a virus… could be that the computer is not good enough for high performance…. duh?! i don’t assemble my own computers just be lectured by those kind of things…. it seems that they don’t get… KNOWN GOOD COMPUTER still shows the very same results… their internet connection still sucks… i also noted that no matter how many times i wipe my hdd & reinstall windows still shows the very same results… so what else?! nothing!!! it is already proven that their internet connection really sucks… they say what you pay is what you get…. well… i can switch to globe rather than staying in their poor maintenance & service….
